Philanthropy - Jimmy V Foundation
During the school year we plan different philanthropic events to raise money for the Jimmy V Foundation. One popular fundraiser we run is called Pie-a-DChi. Anyone who donates to the Jimmy V Foundation can pie a brother of their choice. It's a great way to bond with our brothers and a fun way to get many people from the community involved. This event draws lots of attention which helps people learn more about the Jimmy V Foundation. Other than Pie-a-DChi we also do many more events to help fundraise like our Landmark fundraiser and Quarters on the Quad!
As Delta Chi men, we believe in giving back to the community that has given us so much. To give back to our community we helped clean, weed, and plant new seeds in a community park. We also helped out by picking up trash and leaves around the town.
One fun activity our chapter participated in was helping make blankets for children in hospitals during the MLK Day of Service. We would cut, tie, and fold pieces of felt to create multiple blankets for boys and girls in different hospitals.
Another major way our chapter helps out the community is by "adopting" a street block in town. Multiple times during the month our chapter gets together to clean and maintain our block along with many other streets inside West Chester of any trash or debris. We try our best to make sure our block and the West Chester area are kept looking its best each day.
